My name is Matt Smith, and for more than two decades I’ve been helping travelers experience London with confidence. Over the past 20+ years I’ve visited London more than 70 times, staying in numerous neighborhoods, exploring hundreds of hotels, and learning firsthand what makes each area unique.

Unlike large travel websites that cover destinations around the world, my focus is simple:

Why I Started This Website

Back in 2010 I founded The London Travel Planner, where I began helping families, couples, and first-time visitors organize unforgettable London vacations.

One question came up almost every time:

“Where should we stay in London?”

There isn’t one perfect answer.
